Ben McEvoy
Ben has been professionally involved with the software industry for more than ten years. He has a strong technical background in software development, having been exposed to the full lifecycle of projects ranging from small single-user applications up to full enterprise level solutions.
Throughout his career, Ben has been consistently and rapidly promoted to senior positions. In the last five years, Ben successfully pursued his ambition to move into middle and upper management – progressing from a senior architect position through project and program management to a general management position, heading more than 50 staff.
Ben is currently studying a Masters of Management (I.T.) remotely at Charles Sturt University.
Ben has honed his business and technical analytical skills over the full course of his ten years in software development. Coupling this experience with his excellent written and verbal communication means he is capable of contributing to the success of projects at a variety of levels including as a business analyst, technical analyst, enterprise architect, project or development manager.
Ben has experience in a variety of business sectors, including automotive, banking, accounting, primary and secondary health care, dentistry, education, mining, customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Ben’s technical background is strongly focused on Microsoft technologies. Having started out writing Visual Basic code, he has continued to keep his skills current through adopting .net (C#) soon after it was released. He continues to be very familiar with a range of MS technologies, including ASP.Net, Winforms, the .Net framework, SharePoint and MS SQL Server.
Ben has experience implementing and overseeing projects run under PRINCE2, Scrum and various custom in-house methodologies. This blend of experience means Ben is able to work well under a variety of conditions and bring the best of each methodology to any given project. Further, Ben has five years’ experience with the specific needs of remotely managed development teams.
Joe Albahari
Joe Albahari is a software architect and trainer with 17 years' experience in developing large-scale enterprise applications on Microsoft .NET and other platforms.
Joe enjoys being at the forefront of software technology and is author of the acclaimed C# 3.0 in Nutshell. He has also been technical reviewer for two other major O'Reilly C# titles and has spoken at the 2008 JAOO computing conferences in Sydney and Brisbane. And in his spare time, he has written LINQPad, the popular querying utility, as well as articles for the programming community.
Joe has extensive experience in designing rich client applications and frameworks, and has worked in a number of industries, including the telecommunication, health and education sectors. He specializes in difficult tasks, and has an excellent track record of success in delivering ambitious projects.
